Belichick has no one to blame but himself

by Zach Murphy

Abandon ship, abandon ship, the once Patriot dynasty is now a question to make the playoffs.  Bill Belichick, once Sith Lord, has grown confused, Tom “Darth Vader” Brady has grown old, and the once Death Star of a Patriots organization has blown up.  Maybe I am being a little dramatic, however there are some definite concerns to have with the Patriots after the 41-14 shellacking at the hands of the Chiefs.  Fans will point to the questions at offensive line, receiver and even quarterback, but Bill Belichick is the one that should be held responsible for the team’s descent. Check your eyes Mayock, Mallett is not a NFL starting QB

by Zach Murphy

One game, one meaningless preseason game is all it took for rookie Jimmy Garrappolo to surpass Ryan Mallett on the Patriots depth chart. It’s not official but Belichick must be just as tired of Mallett’s poor play as the rest of Patriots nation. Continue reading Check your eyes Mayock, Mallett is not a NFL starting QB

Where should you draft top Patriot players in fantasy drafts?

by Zach Murphy

It’s that time again Pats fans. Football is around the corner, and with football around the corner it’s time to gather your buddies and play for the Shiva (if you’re a true fantasy footballer you get that reference). So when drafting this year you may be wondering where you should take your favorite Patriot players? Well don’t worry folks, your good pal Zach is here to help. Continue reading Where should you draft top Patriot players in fantasy drafts?

Early record prediction for Patriots

by Zach Murphy

Week 1: NE @ Miami

The Patriots have won their last 11 week 1 games and I don’t see that streak stopping here.  Last season the Patriots struggled stopping Miami’s offense, but with Darrelle Revis starting week 1 for the Patriots, the Patriots should be able to slow down speedster Mike Wallace and the Dolphins’ offense.

NE 30; Miami 17 Continue reading Early record prediction for Patriots

For the Patriots, #1 pick is not out of the question

by Zach Murphy

In a few weeks the NFL Draft will air around the country and many analysts are speculating who the Houston Texans will take with the number one overall pick in this year’s draft.  However, recent reports suggest that the Texans could be looking for a trade partner to move down in the draft with. BTSD First Debate: First round pick

by Zach Murphy and Justin Leboeuf

Welcome to the third edition of BTSD: First Debate. The NFL draft is right around the corner, and Zach and I both had disagreements on what position the Patriot’s should target in the first round. Obviously this is based on if the Patriot’s keep a first round pick, and since we would need a full mock draft to predict for specific players, here’s what we got. BTSD First Debate: Red Sox X-Factors

by Zach Murphy and Justin Leboeuf

Welcome to the second edition of BTSD: First Debate and since the Red Sox season just began, Justin and myself wanted to debate on something that had to do with the Sox. After agreeing on most topics regarding the Red Sox, we decided on one topic we disagreed on. Season X Factors. Since Justin started last week’s debate, I will go first this time. Patriots reunite with safety Patrick Chung

by Zach Murphy

Today, Tom Curran reported that the Patriots had signed safety Patrick Chung, formerly of the Eagles.  Chung was a 2nd-round pick for the Patriots back in 2009 and played in New England for four seasons before getting released and signed by the Philadelphia Eagles. “Move” Tight End May Already Be On Roster

by Zach Murphy

When a particular tight end was arrested right before the 2013 season, the New England Patriots quickly changed their offense from a two tight end set to a more traditional offense.  While the Patriots did finish in the top 10 in total offense last season, their offense was clearly not as effective without that Y, or “move,” tight end. Our first debate will be on the potential of Celtics’ rookie, Kelly Olynyk. Since Olynyk is your guy Justin, I will let you go first. Continue reading BTSD First Debate: Kelly Olynyk

Big Vince Returning To Foxborough

by Zach Murphy

A week ago, I wrote an article as to why the Patriots should grant Vince Wilfork’s release, and after reading the initial report on Wilfork’s new deal ($22.5 million over three years), I was convinced the Patriots made the wrong move keeping the 10-year veteran. However, after reading the latest contract details in Wilfork’s restructured deal, I am a huge fan of Big Vince staying in New England. Continue reading Big Vince Returning To Foxborough
