Analysis

  • Where is everyone’s favorite running back Montee Ball? Well he’s not in this person’s top-10. I’ve seen this guy be ranked as a top-5 fantasy running back and has gone in the first couple of rounds in drafts. I get the upside but this guy did compete and lose the starting job to Knowshon Moreno last year and he has fumbling issues that could cause him to be benched in the Peyton Manning no-nonsense offense. Lower your expectations people.
  • Doug Martin and Alf are back in the top-10 this year and I believe these guys could be serious bounce-back candidates. Both running backs were on teams that struggled last season, while Martin also dealt with injury issues. Now healthy, and with a new head coach for both the Redskins and the Bucs, I believe these two will give their owners who take a chance on themĀ great value.
  • Zac Stacy is not losing his starting job to Tre Mason and the Rams have quietly built one of the best offensive lines in football. Look for Stacy to be a sneaky top-10 running back this season.
  • You read that right by the way, I ranked Matt Forte as the number one overall running back. When you look at Charles, here is a guy that has a lot of talent on a team that is lacking in talent. This offseason the Chiefs were very quiet and didn’t do anything to make there team any better, especially on the offensive side of the ball where Charles will basically be asked to carry the load once again and I don’t see that happening this year. With McCoy I think the loss of Desean Jackson hurts his value as now teams can stack the box more as the Eagles are lacking that deep threat that kept defenses on their toes. Forte on the other hand fits the Trestman scheme perfectly and with guys like Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall lined at wide receiver, there is no way defenses can stack the box to stop the run. Look for Forte to have another stellar season and be the best back in fantasy football.
